Since September 2012 the Regional House in Amherstview has been closed.
The sisters of Saint Joseph Community are now living in Kingston.

◙ 13 Sisters live with the Sisters of Providence, 1200 Princess St.
◙  2 Sisters are at the retirement home, Kingsdale Château, 520 Kingsdale Avenue.

Foundation
In 1841, the Bishop of Kingston Diocese, Remi Gaulin invited the RHSJ in Montreal to send sisters to care for the sick, the poor and the most needy. This was the first foundation since the arrival of the RHSJ in 1659.

Mission
To be a presence of God at the hospital and in the apostolic services in which the Sisters are engaged both at the parish as well as the Diocesan level.

Today
Five Sisters pursue their mission in health care pastoral services, involvement in various social service organizations and corporations.
